Sports Turf Skills Village

Located near the South Entrance, the Sports Turf Skills Village featured live outdoor practical demonstrations of fine turf skills covering a range of maintenance tasks. Location: Adjacent to the South Entrance.

10.30 – 11.00  Setting out/marking out

11.00 – 11.30  Pre-start/Post operative checks to machinery

11.30 – 12.00  Setting height of cut

12.00 – 12.30  Mowing

13.30 – 14.00  Aeration

14.00 – 14.30  Scarifying

14.30 – 15.00  Fertiliser application (including calibration of equipment)

15.00 – 15.30  Topdressing (including calibration of equipment).

The finals of the World Skills UK - Landscape Gardening Competition

IOG SALTEX is proud to host the finals of the Landscape Gardening Competition, in association with BALI (the British Association of Landscape Industries).  Watch four teams in action, who have battled it out in heats across the country, as they endeavour to create an award-winning landscape feature in just three days before your eyes!  Location: Adjacent to the North Entrance on stand U1.

Off-road ATV course, in association with Honda

Located at the North Entrance, test your driving skills on the expertly built ATV off-road course.  A range of ATVs will be available to try out.  Location: Outside North Entrance

NEW!  Natural Play feature

Presented by Time Circles and Russell Leisure, a mini 'Stonehenge' stone circle display will be an outstanding focal point at the show along with other natural play products.  The stones will be adapted towards natural play through intelligent landscaping and incorporating motion and carved design within the pieces. Location: Stand A42
